ASCMC Candidates for President and VP

The following are statements from the candidates for ASCMC President and Vice President. For statements from individuals running for other positions (Class President, DAC, SAC, SLC), come to snack tomorrow, Tuesday, at 10:30 PM for candidate speeches.

Elections are Wednesday at Collins or the Senior Apartments. To avoid waiting in line (or if you are off campus), e-mail Paul Snell ‘08 for an online ballot (psnell08 at cmc) now.

David Gergen at the Ath

gergenA former official in the Nixon, Ford, Clinton and Reagan Administrations, David Gergen describes himself as an independent. Last Tuesday, February 12th at the Athenaeum, Mr. Gergen gave his view of both the Republican and Democratic candidates for President, and the direction that the country is going over the next four years.

Mr. Gergen began with a talk about the presidential race and the fresh results from Maryland, Virginia, and D.C.

Voting in Claremont

The deadline for registering to vote in the California primary was January 22nd, 15 days before the election. Hopefully, you either registered to vote or are registered in your hometown as an absentee.VoteIf you are registered to vote in Claremont, your voting place is probably the McAlister Center, but look at LA county’s voting website here to find your polling place.
