I worked at this year’s alumni weekend as an intern for the alumni relations office, and I have some news on this topic:
During the “Town Hall Meeting” at Alumni Weekend Pam Gann announced that the school is no longer planning to renovate Ducey because they deemed it too difficult and too expensive for too little gain. Instead they are bulldozing Ducey and building an altogether new gym.
She told the alums that it is a top priority to build a better recreation/workout facility at CMC as our facilities are “so bad that some students are paying for gym memberships off campus.” I don’t remember if she stated a timeline for the project, but perhaps the forum could contact the president’s office? During the meeting she also gave more up-to-date details on the land on the east side of Claremont Blvd. and on “The Campaign for Claremont McKenna.”

PS- I do however love the addition of the music and the Pam Gann picture to the video.
